Microdermabrasion

MICRODERMABRASION

Since 1997, when it was first introduced into the U.S., Microdermabrasion (or Microderm) has achieved great attention for skin rejuvenation without the "down time" that is required for more aggressive facial peels. The procedure uses aluminum oxide crystals, a fine abrasive, that are blown across the face in a controlled manner to wear away the superficial surface of the skin. This leaves the skin with a fresh soft appearance.

Microderm is good for loosening blackheads, unsurfacing whiteheads and removing area of dry dead skin. It can improve areas of hyperpigmentation, fine epidermal wrinkles and softern acne scars. Microderm brings about the improvement in the skin slowly; a full program is 5 - 6 treatments about 2 weeks apart.

Patients who have tried the treatments seem to like the results:

"After only one treatment I could already see a difference in my skin's appearance."

"I'm 46 years old and after having a series of microdermabrasion treatments my skin has never looked or felt better!"
